Cuts in Child Benefit if you have more than 2 Children

In the Budget today, the Government outlined that they plan to reduce Child Benefit over the next 2 Budgets for the 3rd and additional children to a standard charge of €140 per child.

Child Benefit payment amounts will be unchanged for you if you have one or two children, but you will see cuts in January 2012 and further cuts in January 2013 to bring the Child Benefit amounts for these children down from €167 and €177 respectively.
