Form 12 Residency Status

From the 1st of January 2019, the Revenue online service requests users to state if they are resident in Ireland, if Ordinarily Resident and if Domicile in Ireland when completing a Form 11 or Form 12. Revenue have decided to ask these questions as an individual’s Domicile and Residence affects how and where worldwide income is

What is the eForm 12?

The eForm 12 has basically replaced the hard copy of the Form 12 itself, although this version is still available as well. The eForm 12 is a shorter version of the Form 12 and is part of Revenue’s push for people to use their online services. It was introduced from the 2013 tax year onward.
